G2 – Youth
One Gospel. Two Generations. That’s the heart behind G2, our ministry to high school youth (14-18yrs) and their parents. To find more info about G2, visit the G2 ministry page. You can find sermons from monthly G2 meetings, G2 retreats, and parent meetings below.
Are you still wrapping yourself up in the chains of fear, even though you are a Christian? Jon preaches from Romans 8 on how the gospel releases us from the tyranny of fear.
Please note that there is no recording for Session 4. This is the final G2 Retreat 2012 audio message.
You + Jesus = A Changed You. Despite Jason not being that great at math, he gave a great series of equations from Romans 6:1-11 to help illustrate being dead to sin and alive to Christ (“mostly” dead? or completely dead?).
Jon Payne began the G2 youth retreat this year in Romans 1, focusing on the first half of the chapter by looking at these questions: Are you energized by the gospel or embarrassed? Is the gospel like a conference t-shirt you own but never wear, shoved in a closet? Or is it your favorite t-shirt you wear every day? Like being in a gold mine wearing sunglasses, are you blind to the full power of the gospel?
The fourth evidence that Jon speaks about is love for the local church. This is the last message in this series.
Temptation. What does it mean for the Christian, and how can you show the evidence of your faith through temptation? Jon speaks from Daniel 3 about this topic.
Jon continued the Evidence series by giving the second Evidence of faith: godliness. (The first Evidence was professing Jesus as Savior, both with speech and through baptism. You can listen to the first message here.) This message came from Galatians 5:16-24, which shows how the true Christian runs towards the things of God instead of sin.
Jon began a new series with the youth called “Evidence,” teaching from Acts 2. The evidences of faith don’t make you a Christian–only confessing your are a sinner in need of a Savior and believing that Jesus is that Savior who paid the price for sins makes you a Christian; however, this series will explore the different evidences that Christians need to display their faith.
Jon Payne has been preaching a series to the G2 youth entitled “One Another.” This month’s message focused on the topic of forgiving one another.
This closing retreat message by Jon Payne from Psalm 119:57-64 is about having a lifestyle of Loving God.
Jon Payne preached the third session for the G2 Loving God Retreat. This message from Luke 7:36-50 gives a contrast between a devoted woman and a proud pharisee.
Trey Richardson preached the second session at the “Loving God” retreat. He spoke about the wisdom of God from Psalm 16.
Jon Payne began the G2 “Loving God” Retreat in Pinetop, AZ with a message about the jealousy of God from Isaiah 42:8.
This Saturday, Jon preached the last message in his salvation series for the G2 youth and parents.
Jon had a parent meeting with the G2 parents regarding how to actively help their teens apply the past G2 messages on Salvation.
Jon gave this message to the parents of G2 on the topic of discipling teens in gospel forgiveness.
Note: the message to G2 youth and parents that day was given by Jason. You can hear the same message given to the tfs group from March 17th.
