G2 – Youth
One Gospel. Two Generations. That’s the heart behind G2, our ministry to high school youth (14-18yrs) and their parents. We want to see everyone treasure the gospel – youth included. G2 exists to support the parents in discipling their children. Therefore, much of what we do is to strengthen the relationships between parents and their teen. It is easy for this relationship to become strained but our goal is to give you a hand. So, through teaching, small groups, service projects and just plain fun, we try to build that most critical relationship.
We are built on one gospel. Since the gospel doesn’t come with packaging that says, “For Ages 20 and up,” we look to make it clear to our youth. Christ is the foundation and content of the life and teaching of G2.

G2 Evidence Series: February 2012
Jon continued the Evidence series by giving the second Evidence of faith: godliness. (The first Evidence was professing Jesus as Savior, both with speech and through baptism. You can listen to the first message here.) This message came from Galatians 5:16-24, which shows how the true Christian runs towards the things of God instead of sin.
G2 Evidence Series: January 2012
Jon began a new series with the youth called “Evidence,” teaching from Acts 2. The evidences of faith don’t make you a Christian–only confessing your are a sinner in need of a Savior and believing that Jesus is that Savior who paid the price for sins makes you a Christian; however, this series will explore the different evidences that Christians need to display their faith.
G2 One Another Series: November 2011
Jon Payne has been preaching a series to the G2 youth entitled “One Another.” This month’s message focused on the topic of forgiving one another.
G2 Loving God Retreat: Session 4
This closing retreat message by Jon Payne from Psalm 119:57-64 is about having a lifestyle of Loving God.
G2 Loving God Retreat: Session 3
Jon Payne preached the third session for the G2 Loving God Retreat. This message from Luke 7:36-50 gives a contrast between a devoted woman and a proud pharisee.
G2 Loving God Retreat: Session 2
Trey Richardson preached the second session at the “Loving God” retreat. He spoke about the wisdom of God from Psalm 16.
G2 Loving God Retreat: Session 1
Jon Payne began the G2 “Loving God” Retreat in Pinetop, AZ with a message about the jealousy of God from Isaiah 42:8.
G2 Salvation Series: Conclusion
This Saturday, Jon preached the last message in his salvation series for the G2 youth and parents.
G2 Parent Meeting: May 2011
Jon had a parent meeting with the G2 parents regarding how to actively help their teens apply the past G2 messages on Salvation.

Jon gave this message to the parents of G2 on the topic of discipling teens in gospel forgiveness.
