tfs stands for TwentyFour:Seven, referencing Luke 24:7.
TwentyFour:Seven exists to help young men and women steward their single years for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 7:32-35). It is our desire that these young men and women grow in their relationship with the Lord so that they do not simply have the appearance of godliness (2 Timothy 3:1-5), but rather are those who demonstrate their growth in godliness through their pursuit of God expressed individually and corporately in the body (1 Corinthians 12-14; Ephesians 4:1-16).

For February’s Core, Jon Payne came to give a recap of the Relate conference, which took place in January. After the brief recap, the remainder of the time was devoted to Q&A on the topic of romance and practical applications. For full messages from Relate, visit the Relate website here.
This past weekend our church and the tfs ministry were host to Relate 2012. This 2-day conference brought singles age 17+ from SGC, neighboring states, and local Phoenix churches together to look at the topic of relationships and romance. The three sessions were taught by Jon Payne, who sought to direct our focus to the only source of advice we need when it comes to this area of our lives–God’s word. Jason Hansen led worship with the tfs band and a few additions from other churches. And we can’t forget “The Jordans” (Jordan Johnson and Jordan Morales) who did the “announcements” throughout.
You can listen to the messages by going to the Relate website here. Pictures will be posted soon on the Relate website, but here is a preview of what the conference was like. We look forward to doing this again at Relate 2013 in January next year!
Registration is still open!
It’ll remain open until the start of the conference this Friday, January 13.
Check-in starts at 6:45 PM, and we will be taking on-site registrations.

Registration has been extend for Relate 2012! All singles age 17+ are invited to attend the Relate conference on January 13-14, 2012, which will help young adults answer the question “What is God’s perspective on romance and relationships?” For those who find themselves in a season where they can pursue marriage, how to practically do this is often uncertain. This conference will help lay a foundation of what the Bible says about how to view romance and relationships, as well as how to apply this to the area of pursuing marriage in a God-honoring way. The sessions will be taught by Jon Payne, and Jason Hansen will be leading the band with members from various churches attending the conference.
The cost is $25 to attend, which includes conference fees and food during the event. Lodging for out-of-town participants can be arranged by contacting us here. To register, visit our website here.
Come Relate!
What does being sanctified in Christ mean? This Thursday at our monthly tfs Core meeting, Jason continued our series called WALK by preaching from Philippians 2:12-13 on the topic of sanctification. We don’t work to gain God’s favor, but rather to prove his favor on us.
Jason began a new series entitled “WALK” for the tfs Core meetings. This first night he preached from Zechariah 3:1-5, telling us that our walk starts with “having been justified.”
This Thursday marked the kickoff of our monthly Core meetings for tfs. After a time of passionate worship, Jason preached from John 12:20-26 on what it means to die in order to live.
A number of us from our College/Singles Ministry, TwentyFour:Seven (tfs), just returned from a conference called NEXT. This year NEXT was in Orlando, FL and couldn’t have been held at a nicer facility (not hyperbole). However, what surpassed the facility was the content of the messages. The conference focus was on Jesus being supreme over all things including the arts, literature, creation, science, philosophy, etc…
I would encourage you all to listen to at least one of the NEXT Conference Messages (if you listen to just one I would recommend Jeff Purswell on having a Christian worldview in a non-Christian world).
Jason continued his 4-part series on A Better Vision at the Core meeting this Thursday. This third installment from Psalm 119 highlights the eagerness of God for us to find him and the eagerness we should have in return.
Here is part 2 in a 4-part series titled “A Better Vision.” Jason preached this Core message from Luke 23 and showed us that in order to delight in God, you must begin at the Cross.
