Rich finished our series “God our Hope,” by preaching from 1 Peter 5:6-14. Life is a war, and we must keep fighting our two main enemies–one internal and one external. But we have a hope, the greatest hope, Jesus the Savior and Victor over sin and death!
Rich taught this Sunday’s class on Exodus chapters 17-24, which included the 10 commandments (chapter 20). Click below for the Session outline and for the audio recording.
This Sunday Jon preached a message from 1 Peter 5:1-5 about the importance of gospel-centered, biblical pastors. This passage is specifically addressed to pastors, but it has application for the church as well. Faithful churches need faithful pastors, so listen to hear what qualities we can look for and appreciate in faithful pastors.
Rich taught from Exodus chapters 11-16, focusing on the last plague: Passover. Click the links below for the outline and to listen to the message.
Rich preached from 1 Peter 4:12-19 a powerful message on suffering and affliction for the Christian. The good news that Peter gives us is that while suffering says “you are alone,” Scripture (both the Old and New Testaments) says, “you are NOT alone.”
Rich continued the Exodus class this Sunday morning, teaching from chapters 4-10. You can listen to Session 3 and download the outline by clicking the links below (please note that the last few minutes are missing from the recording).
Rich finished up preaching from the section in 1 Peter 4:7-11. Part 2 of this passage focused on hospitality and using the gifts God has given us.
This Sunday Rich taught the second class in our Sunday Morning Exodus Series (the first class didn’t get recorded). You can listen to Session 2 and pick up the outlines for Session 1 and 2 by clicking the links below.
Rich preached from 1 Peter 4:7-11, giving two ways in which a Christian can glorify God with their life.
This Sunday we were privileged to have with us part of the team that will be going on an SGC church plant to North Africa. Guest speaker Greg Somerville brought us a message from Isaiah 49:1-7 and Philippians 2:5-11.
We returned to the book of 1 Peter as Rich preached from chapter 4, verses 1-6. We all feel the ticking of the clock, the passing of time, but the Bible offers a different rhythm–the beat of eternity.
To start off the New Year, Trey preached from Colossians 1:9-14 about the gift of prayer. The power that God affords to us in prayer is according to his glorious might, and there’s not one ounce of his power that he withholds from the believer. Listen to how prayer can reorient, rejuvenate, and restore our souls.
This Sunday Rich preached from Luke 2:1-20, a passage traditionally read at Christmas. In his message, Rich talked about two cities, as well as two influential people: a man who would be a god and God who would be man. Listen to hear who the angels sang about all those Christmases ago.
In the final session of the “Heart of Parenting” seminar, Pete & Betsy Payne close with the topic of “The Father’s Joy.”
In Session 4 of the “Heart of Parenting” Seminar, Pete Payne looks at “The Father’s Task.”
