Visit Sovereign Grace

What to Expect

Our service begins at 10:00 AM. You’re welcome to park either in the front or the back of the building. As you walk in, here’s what you’ll find:

People just like you. We’re from the East Valley like many of you, and though we’re all from different backgrounds and various places, the gospel of Jesus makes us family.

Friendly people. We’d love to meet you, so if it’s your first time feel free to visit the Welcome Center in the front lobby. Please let us know how we can serve you during your visit.

A laid-back atmosphere. Feel free to wear whatever is comfortable to you. Some people dress up but many do not. Come as you are and whatever you wear you’ll fit in.

People passionate about Jesus. In the first part of the service we sing to and about Jesus. In the second part of the service we hear preaching from God’s word.

The Service

The Sunday service lasts from 10:00-11:40 AM. Before the service, you can visit our information counter and pick up fliers about our ministries. During the service we take up an offering—please don’t give! We’re just happy to have you here with us. Feel free to fill out the prayer request form and drop it in the offering plate.

If you have children, we provide care and instruction for children through fourth grade. Children 8 months through 4 years old are checked in at classrooms at the front before the service begins. Children in kindergarten through 4th grade are checked into children’s ministry after worship, when we have a short break to allow you time to check your children in and if you desire, meet your child’s teacher.

Our pattern is to preach straight from the Bible, which usually looks like preaching through whole books beginning to end. Recently, we’ve preached through Malachi, Luke, Acts, Ruth and Revelation. If you are interested in listening to our preaching, go to the Sermons page. The preaching typically lasts about 45 minutes.

Immediately after the service please visit our Welcome Center in the front lobby. There you can enjoy light refreshments, find out how to get connected to a small group, ask any questions you might have, and meet a pastor or member of the church. We would love to meet you!
